Biography
In 1976, our transportation was one bus in one community. Today Western Washtenaw Area Value Express (WAVE) operates 15 vehicles to serve all of Western Washtenaw County! We are proud to partner with municipalities, townships, businesses, and nonprofits to get people where they need to go.
WAVE offers several transportation programs:
- Door-to-Door throughout Western Washtenaw to anywhere in Washtenaw County
- Chelsea—Dexter—Ann Arbor and Jackson Road fixed route Connectors
- Downtown Chelsea free shuttle
- Discounts for older people, people with disabilities, low income, and children through 12th grade.
The WAVE Bus provides rides for all living and traveling in greater Western Washtenaw to the rest of the county.
